Jonny Bairstow, with a quickfire 48 (28b, 9X4, 1X6), backed up a disciplined and effective bowling effort by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to help the side chase down a target of 130 and register a five-wicket win over Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi on Thursday.
The win has helped the Orange Army to leapfrog to the top of the points table.
Before Bairstow’s blitz, stand-in skipper Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammad Nabi and Siddarth Kaul took two wickets each to set up the win for Hyderabad as they restricted Delhi to 129/8 in 20 overs.
