CWC 2019: Yuvraj Singh, Kevin Pietersen, Graeme Smith engage in funny banter on probable winner of the World Cup

As the starting day of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is coming near, cricket fans, current and former players are openly expressing their support and backing their favourite team to lift the coveted trophy.

Recently, veteran India cricketer Yuvraj Singh did the same as he posted a video on his Twitter account with a caption reading: “There has always been a slip between the ‘cup’ and the lip for #ENG and #SA! Pehla match ye khelenge, but #CricketKaCrown hum #LeJayenge!”

In his tweet, Yuvi certainly took a funny dig at England and South Africa, who have never won an ODI World Cup and will face each other in the 2019 CWC opener at The Oval on May 30. Interestingly, the left-hander also tagged former England batsman Kevin Pietersen in his tweet.

Replying to Yuvi’s tweet, KP wrote: “I’ve seen it mate, but we both know #ENG are going all the way and bringing the trophy home! So tell me if I’m saying this right: #CricketKaCrown hum #LeJayenge”.

Former South African captain Graeme Smith too joined the Yuvraj-Pietersen banter and stated that this year the Proteas will clinch the World Cup as the Englishmen only love tea.

Meanwhile, India will start its CWC 2019 campaign against South Africa on June 5 in Southampton.
