Upul Tharanga, Dinesh Chandimal, Akila Dananjaya and Niroshan Dickwella are some of the big names that have not been included in Sri Lanka’s 15-man squad for the upcoming World Cup. Meanwhile, Milinda Siriwardana and Jeffrey Vandersay, who have not played a single ODI since 2017 have been roped in the final 15.
Lasith Malinga, Angelo Mathews, Thisara Perera and Kusal Perera are some of the experienced players picked in the Sri Lankan squad. The team led by Dimuth Karunaratne will begin their World Cup campaign against New Zealand on June 1.
