IPL 2019: Twitter Reactions – Jasprit Bumrah shines as MI beat SRH in super over to qualify for playoffs

Wow! What a thrilling contest it was! Mumbai Indians (MI) have qualified for the playoffs with a superb win in the super over against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Wankhede stadium on Thursday.

Jasprit Bumrah bowled a brilliant super over to restrict the visitors for just eight runs and then Hardik Pandya’s six off the first ball delivered by Rashid Khan just killed the game.

However, full credit goes to Manish Pandey who first tied the game with a last ball six and took it to the super over. He remained unbeaten on 71 off just 47 balls.

But Pandey’s heroics went in vain as MI proved to be good in the super over and then snatched victory eventually to qualify for the playoffs.

Brief scores:

Mumbai Indians: 162/5 in 20 overs (Quinton de Kock 67 not out; K Khaleel Ahmed 3/42).

SunRisers Hyderabad: 162/6 in 20 overs (Manish Pandey 71 not out; Krunal Pandya 2/22).

Super over score: Mumbai Indians (9/0) defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad (8/2).
