Rohit Sharma continued with his fine track record of captaincy in the Indian Premier League (IPL) by winning the title for the fourth time as a skipper for Mumbai Indians (MI). Maintaining his odd-year sequence in winning the trophy, the 32-year-old led MI to clinch a one-run victory over MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Hyderabad on last Sunday (May 12).
After IPL success, Rohit took some down time before flying out to participate in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, starting on May 30 in England and Wales. The ‘Hitman’ took to Instagram to share some pictures from his recent trip to the Maldives.
The Indian team’s vice-captain, who has been a busy man in the last few months, spent some quality time with his family, including his wife Ritika Sajdeh and daughter Samaria. “Partner in crime for life never as zen as I am here in this part of the world. Perfect gateway,” Rohit Sharma captioned one of the pictures.
Rohit Sharma and other members of team India will depart for England on May 22. India will play two warm up matches against New Zealand and Bangladesh before starting their World Cup campaign.
