Fantastic footwork from England’s Tom Curran ran out Pakistan’s Haris Sohail in the third ODI at the County Ground in Bristol on Tuesday.
After put in to bat, Pakistan was beginning to develop a strong third-wicket partnership, just when the 24-year-old Curran showed off his nifty footwork as he dismissed Sohail for 41 runs by side-footing the ball onto the stumps.
Sohail thought there was an opportunity to steal a single when Imam ul-Haq played a defensive shot at his feet.
But Sohail hadn’t considered Curran would outpace him to the other end and then didn’t do himself any favours by not diving to try and make up the ground.

He’s the worst footballer in our team @_TC59! 😂⚽️

Later, Imam-ul-Haq’s career-best 151 was reduced to a footnote as Pakistan were powerless in preventing the highest-ever ODI run-chase in England.
The chief architect of the destruction was Jonny Bairstow, who smashed 128 off 93 balls. His ton came off 74 deliveries, and was well supported by Jason Roy, who blazed 76 off just 55 balls.
