ICC World Cup 2019: German football star Thomas Muller wishes Virat Kohli and India good luck

Cricket fever is gripping one and all and even football stars can’t be away from action during the ICC World Cup 2019.

German forward Thomas Muller has come out in support of India and captain Virat Kohli to lift the coveted trophy in England.

“I wish all participants of the Cricket #WorldCup2019 good luck & thrilling matches. Especially I cross my fingers for @imVkohli, the captain of the Indian team. He’s a fan of @DFB_Team and supported it multiple times in the past #Cricket #GermanyCheersForIndia #esmuellert,” wrote Muller on his Twitter handle while also sharing a picture of himself donning India’s World Cup jersey.

Muller is now the third footballer to express his support towards the Men in Blue after Brazil international and Chelsea defender David Luiz, and England and Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

Kohli’s men also received a special good luck message from the entire Indian football team on Monday.

Kohli-led India will start their 2019 World Cup campaign against South Africa at Rose Bowl in Southampton on June 5 as the Men in Blue eye their third World Cup title since last winning it in 1983 and 2011.
