ICC World Cup 2019 – IND vs PAK: Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar ruled out of the match due to a hamstring injury

In the most awaited game of the tournament, India is playing against Pakistan at Old Trafford in Manchester. Thanks to some brilliant batting performance by the Indian openers and the skipper Virat Kohli, Team India managed to put up a total of 336 runs on the scoreboard.

But there is some bad news from the Indian camp, fast-bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been ruled out of the game due to a hamstring injury. In the 4th delivery of his third over, Bhuvi stretched his left hamstring. After having some discussion with a few players, Bhuvi decided to leave the field for treatment.

The official update finally came in the 12th over that Bhuvi will not take part any further in the match due to slight tightness in his left hamstring.

India is playing all-rounder Vijay Shankar as a replacement for injured Shikhar Dhawan in the match, so they do have an extra bowling option to cover up for Bhuvneshwar Kumar. In his first delivery, Shankar got rid of Pakistan opener Imam Ul Haq as the bowl struck plumb in front of his leg stump.
