The excitement level of Team India fans during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is too high. The fans, however, were left disheartened when Indian opener Rohit Sharma was wrongly given out caught behind against West Indies in Manchester.
Kemar Roach’s delivery left Rohit split open and there was a sound caught on the stump mic. The on-field umpire gave Rohit not out but West Indies captain Jason Holder made an appeal for a DRS.
Third umpire Michael Gough didn’t look thoroughly at the footage and reversed the decision taken by on-field umpire Richard Illingworth.
But soon after that incident, the biggest fanbase of Team India, the Bharat Army, came up with a quirky slogan which caught a lot of attention in the Old Trafford stadium. The slogan was funny as well as catchy which even made Rohit’s wife Ritika Sajdeh laugh.
To cheer for Rohit, several sloganeers started shouting “10 Rs ki Pepsi, Rohit Sharma sexy!” from the stands.
Ritika was sitting right above the sloganeers’ area.
