ICC World Cup 2019: WWE Champion Kofi Kingston sends best wishes to Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and Team India

With the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 fever picking up, WWE superstar and champion Kofi Kingston took to social media platform Twitter to wish Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and the rest of Team India all the best for the ongoing tournament in England and Wales.

Staying true to his Tag Team – The New Day’s belief in positivity, he wished the ‘Men in Blue’ for their success at the World Cup.

“This is your WWE Champion here Kofi Kingston with a very important message for the Boys in Blue. That’s right – Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni and the rest of team India. I want to wish you the utmost luck in the ICC Cricket World Cup, baby! Do it!” he said in his video message.

Meanwhile, Team India defeated the Proteas side by six wickets to win their tournament opener. Rohit Sharma bagged the ‘Man of the match’ for his gritty 122 not out off 144 balls that saw him take India over the line in a 228 run-chase.

Earlier, leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal (4 for 51) restricted South Africa to a sub-par total of 227/9. The Proteas skipper Faf du Plessis’ decision to bat under overcast conditions backfired with Jasprit Bumrah (2/35) setting the tone with twin blows in his opening spell.
