West Indies international Chris Gayle set the Global T20 Canada 2019 on fire with a whirlwind 122 not out off just 54 balls to help Vancouver Knights register the second-highest total in T20 history.
Gayle’s scintillating knock included 12 sixes and seven fours. He, now, has become the first batsman to smash 1000 boundaries and register 22 hundred in T20 cricket.

It was Gayle’s knock that powered Vancouver Knights to a surreal 276/3 in 20 overs. His innings got his fans excited as they took to Twitter and applauded the Universe Boss.
Is Chris Gayle human? #GT20Canada

A team called the Vancouver Knights has just scored 276-3 – the second-highest total in T20 history. Big hitting on a flat pitch against terrible bowling.

First came the severe #Gaylestorm and then the threat of a #thunderstorm that put paid to the game @GT20Canada @henrygayle #GT20Canada pic.twitter.com/k7PKFCPjcN

#GT20Canada game between Vancouver Knights & Montreal Tigers would have created several records if it had official T20 status:
2nd highest T20 total (276/3 by Knights)
Most boundary runs in a T20 inning (222 by Knights)

Second highest ever score for a T20 match along with probably the best T20 innings I’ve ever seen by the Universe Boss @henrygayle in @GT20Canada playing for @VKnights_. 122no from just 54 balls 😳 Worth staying up for #GayleForce #UniverseBoss #Cricket #MTvsVK #GT2019 pic.twitter.com/HZBUnOKzjt

“I’m not feeling any sweat. It’s cool conditions. Decent total on the board, so happy with that. I can’t be too safe here in Toronto. It’s a good wicket for batting. I wanted 200 personally, but that didn’t happen in this game. Overcast conditions, so hopefully get a good bowl in and get the two points, but it won’t be easy. They want me out of the game, that’s unfortunate (laughs). I’ll be around,” said Gayle after the match.
