India A registered their 3rd consecutive win against West Indies A in Antigua on Tuesday. With this victory, the India A team won the five-match series 3-0.
India won the toss and elected to bat first. The team lost early wicket of Anmolpreet Singh (0), but Shubman Gill (77 runs) and Shreyas Iyer (47 runs) added 109 runs for the second wicket partnership.
In the middle, it was a brilliant knock of 100 runs (87 balls) from right-handed batsman Manish Pandey that helped India reach a score of 295/6 in 50 overs.
The Windies bowling, Romario Shepherd and Rahkeem Cornwall took 2 wickets each with Shepherd picking the big wicket of Manish Pandey.
Chasing the total, the West Indies team got all-out on a total of 147 runs, losing the match by 148 runs. Indian all-rounder Krunal Pandya was the star bowler of the match, picking up 5 wickets in his spell of 7 overs.
For his outstanding batting performance, Manish Pandey was chosen the ‘Man of the Match’.
The next match is scheduled for 19th July in Antigua.
