WATCH: Jason Roy loses his shoe while batting at Lord’s

During England’s second innings in the one-off Test against Ireland at Lord’s, the English debutant Jason Roy underwent an embarrassing moment after he lost his shoe while trying to take on the Irish seamer Mark Adair.

It all happened on the penultimate delivery of the 38th over when Roy came down the track to play an Adair delivery. While he eventually ducked under the short ball, him losing his shoe came as an unusual moment. However, Roy was aware enough to walk back to the crease as Ireland wicket-keeper Gary Wilson threw the ball in a bid to effect a stumping dismissal.

Here’s the video:

Roy went on to score 72 from 78 balls with the help of ten fours and a six before being dismissed by Stuart Thompson in the 41st over of the innings.
