Women’s Ashes: Ellyse Perry scores record breaking century in Australia’s one-off Test against England

Australia’s star all-rounder Ellyse Perry added another feat to her burgeoning book of records after reaching to her century on the second day of the Women’s Ashes Test against England.

Perry, who struck an unbeaten 213 in the previous Ashes series at home in 2017, scored another ton against England in the ongoing one-off Test in Taunton. The 28-year-old made a brilliant 116 from 281 balls and also shared an important 162-run stand with Rachel Haynes, who missed out on a century when Laura Marsh had her trapped in front for 87.

Both the batters helped lift their side to a good total, and after they were dismissed, Australia went on post 420/8 on the board in their first innings.

Perry has amassed an incredible 329 runs from 655 deliveries since her previous dismissal in Tests.
