During the first semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between India and New Zealand at the Old Trafford, Team India star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja bowled an absolute peach of a delivery to the Black Caps opener Henry Nicholls.
It all happened on the second delivery of the 19th over when Jadeja deceived the Kiwi batsman with his turn. In what was an archetype dismissal for a left-arm orthodox spinner, Jadeja brought back the ball into the left-hand batsman.
With the ball finding the gap between Nicholls’ bat and pad, not much could have saved the southpaw.
Jadeja was also serenaded by the Old Trafford crowd with the song ‘Oh Ravi Jadeja’ – matching to the tunes of Seven Nation Army.
Indian captain Virat Kohli too enjoyed the song; he was seen dancing to the beat and gesturing to a section of the crowd in appreciation.
