India’s Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane is currently on the tour of West Indies for a two-match series. With 260 runs lead on day 3 in the Antigua Test, Team India looks in full control.
At stumps, Rahane was batting at 53 along with Indian skipper Virat Kohli at 51. Rahane was the top scorer for team India in the first innings, a brilliant knock of 81 runs under pressure.
In a recent interview with ESPNcricinfo, Rahane answered 25 questions including his best batting shot and shyest player in the Indian dressing room. The most interesting of them all was regarding Indian opening batsman Rohit Sharma. Rahane was asked about Rohit’s reaction if he gets him run-out on 199.
Interviewer: “If you ran our Rohit Sharma on 199 when he is about to complete his fourth ODI double-hundred, what would he say to you?”
Rahane: “Nothing, he’ll just walk. Rohit is very cool and calm.”
Rahane also revealed the name of the shyest player in the Indian dressing room, and to everyone’s surprise, Rahane named Indian pacer Umesh Yadav. Umesh Yadav is also the part of India’s Test squad against West Indies.
