The International Cricket Council (ICC) created a massive outburst on social media after it hailed Ben Stokes as ‘the greatest cricketer of all time’. The apex body retweeted the old post of ICC Cricket World Cup in which it had uploaded a picture of ‘Master Blaster’ Sachin Tendulkar along with England all-rounder Ben Stokes.
After Stokes played a match-winning knock of 135 in the third Test against Australia to level the Ashes series 1-1, the ICC retweeted the Cricket World Cup post with a new caption, “told you so”.

Following ICC’s tweet, netizens slammed the apex cricketing body for comparing Stokes with Tendulkar. Moreover, the Twitterati also said that Stokes could never match the level of batting legend Sachin.

I think Sachin deserves more respect than this.. In the late 90s he shouldered the Entire Indian cricket team on his Own..countless times.. The only difference.. There wasn't any Twitter during that time..

However, the Twitter world has mentioned that Stokes deserves all the credits for playing a sensational knock which helped England to chase down 359 for victory with one wicket to spare.
