England’s left-arm spinner Jack Leach bowled an absolute beauty to remove the Australian opener Marcus Harris on Day 2 of the third Ashes Test at Headingley.
Leach was brought into the attack by skipper Joe Root in the 11th over, and the Englishman lived up to his captain’s decision by scalping Harris on his very first delivery of the match.
Producing a moment of magic, Leach castled Harris when he enticed the Aussie southpaw to anticipate a cover drive. Harris leaned forward and was resolute in pushing the ball near the cover region but was beaten all ends up. The ball hit the rough patch, moved in between the bat and the pad, and ended up knocking the bails.
England players were all delighted after watching this peach of a delivery and applauded Leach for his brilliance.
