On Saturday, India A defeated South Africa A by two wickets in the second one-dayer at the Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. With two consecutive wins, India A goes up 2-0 in the five-match series.
India A skipper Manish Pandey won the toss and elected to field first. In the 21-over game, South Africa A scored 162/5. South African middle-order batsman George Linde played a brilliant knock of 52 off 25 balls. For India, Deepak Chahar, Khaleel Ahmed, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Axar Patel picked up one wicket each.
Chasing a score of 163 runs, India lost the early wicket of Ruturaj Gaikwad (1 run). Wicket-keeper batsman Ishan Kishan played a match-winning knock of 55 runs in 24 balls including five fours and four sixes. India A reached the target with eight wickets down and six balls remaining.
In the post-match interview, ‘Player of the Match’ Ishan Kishan told Star Sports, They were also under pressure, I wanted to watch the ball and back my strengths.”
“The wicket was too good to bat on, and they kept bowling loose balls which I kept putting away. I didn’t want to play any defensive strokes,” Kishan added.

India A: 163/8 (Kishan 55, Krunal 23*, Dala 2-25)

If Rishabh Pant doesn't perform in LOIs we might soon see Ishan Kishan in the Indian team 😁#INDAvSAA

Ishan Kishan. Been watching him since U19. Bats well in all the formats. Unfortunately for him Rishabh Pant got the nod ahead of him and RP did well in tests.@BCCI drop Pant in white ball teams and give Ishan a go. Is a better player.#INDAvSAA @StarSportsIndia pic.twitter.com/hpOEB7YJkd

Really hope Ishan Kishan breaks through into the T20I side. Different beast in the shortest format. Much-improved wicketkeeper too 🔥@ishankishan51 pic.twitter.com/Ru5fUDFBGv

What a dynamite performance by Ishan Kishan. @BCCI there are so many wicket keeper batsmen who can represent India. Don't stick with @RishabhPant17 only. Onw dimensional selection process. #INDAvSAA
