Sania Mirza congratulates newly weds Imad Wasim and Sannia Ashfaq

Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim joined the married man club last week. He tied the knot with British-London-based Sannia Ashfaq on Saturday at the Faisal Mosque in Islamabad.

Just a couple of days before Imad Wasim’s wedding, Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali had also got hitched to Dubai-based Indian girl, Shamia Arzoo.

On Monday, Imad had his wedding dinner. Some high-profile names from Pakistan attended the party.

After the dinner, Imad took to Twitter to thank everyone who attended the party.

Wasim got a reply from Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza, who is married to his cricket colleague Shoaib Malik. Sania congratulated the couple on their big day in her style.

“Congratulations Maddy .. wish you and Sannia the best,” Sania wrote in her tweet.

Imad’s next assignment:

Imad Wasim recently turned up for Nottinghamshire in the Vitality T20 Blast. He played five games but could not make a mark with the bat. He, however, made a useful contribution with the ball and picked up seven wickets. Imad last turned up for Pakistan during the ICC Cricket World Cup and had a decent campaign.

He will be next seen in action for Pakistan when Sri Lanka visits the country next month. The Islanders will tour Pakistan for three ODIs and as many T20Is.
