In spite of the constant political tension between India and Pakistan, the cricketers from the two nations continue supporting one another. The recent ‘Kashmir’ related incident had no effect on the friendly relation between former India all-rounder, Yuvraj Singh and former Pakistan skippers, Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik.
While Yuvraj is captaining Toronto Nationals, Afridi is playing for Brampton Wolves and Malik is a part of Vancouver Knights in the ongoing Global T20 Canada league.
The three eminent cricketers got together during an event organized by Yuvi in Canada. The event was associated with Yuvraj’s NGO named YOUWECAN. Afridi and Malik lauded his noble initiative and supported him to the fullest during the charity dinner. They later took to their individual Twitter handles to extend their good wishes.
“Its very heart warming to see the good work being done by @YOUWECAN & my buddy @YUVSTRONG12 to fight cancer like a hero. Thank you for having me at @GT20Canada Gala Dinner for, wish you all the best with the projects to elevate the lives of the unfortunate ones amongst us #GT2019,” Malik tweeted.
