Chris Gayle continued his rich vein of form in the Global T20 Canada 2019 to lead his side Vancouver Knights to a six-wicket win over Edmonton Royals on Friday. The ‘Universe Boss’ smashed 94 off just 44 balls in which he hit nine sixes and six fours.
Gayle, who had slammed an unbeaten 122 a couple of nights ago, narrowly missed the chance of scoring back-to-back centuries in the ongoing tournament.
Gayle smashess 32 runs in one over
It was the 13th over of the second innings, bowled by Pakistan international Shadab Khan, where Gayle struck four sixes and two boundaries. That over helped bring the required run rate down and made things easy for the following batsmen, as Gayle fell to Ben Cutting, caught by Mohammad Nawaz.
