India fell just three runs short of the 300-run mark as West Indies bundled out the visiting team for 297 on the second day of the first Test in Antigua.
Team India managed to add 93 runs and lost all four of their remaining wickets during the extended first session of play. Ravindra Jadeja once again shined with the bat as the all-rounder completed his 11th Test half-century before getting dismissed by Jason Holder’s short ball on 58.
The Windies bowlers were very impressive on Friday, especially Kemar Roach who finishing with four wickets to his name. Shannon Gabriel and Roston Chase took three and two wickets respectively.
On Thursday, Ajinkya Rahane’s 81 was the only standout score for India as Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, Hanuma Vihari, and Mayank Agarwal failed to get their innings underway at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.
However, opener KL Rahul scored 44 runs off 97 balls before being removed by Roston Chase.

Ajinkya Rahane proves what a fine player he is once again in difficult conditions when the top order crumbled in good conditions for bowling. Credit to how WI bowled at us. #IndvsWI
