Yuvraj Singh and two other Indians likely to feature in the Abu Dhabi T10 League

The upcoming third season of the Abu Dhabi T10 League will get underway from November 15 and end on November 24. The league was an absolute cracker in the past two seasons, hoping to be bigger and better this year.

In the past, former opener Virender Sehwag, ex-middle-order batsman Subramanian Badrinath and former fast bowlers – Zaheer Khan, Praveen Kumar and RP Singh were a part of the T10 League.

All-rounder Yuvraj Singh, batsman Ambati Rayudu and pacer Irfan Pathan are likely to be approached for the shortest version of the game this season.

Yuvraj is currently recovering from a back injury in Canada.

According to the latest report in The National, Chairman and Founder of the T10 League, Shaji Ul Mulk revealed that they were in talks with Yuvraj.

“We are very optimistic, and I think it is more about a number than willingness. Yuvraj [Singh] has a certain expectation, and we can only afford so much, let us put it that way.”

“We are trying to bridge that gap, but the intention is very clear: he definitely wants to play. The same goes for other players who are retiring. There is an ongoing conversation, so we are pretty optimistic,” Ul Mulk said.

The star-studded tournament is also likely to include big names like Eoin Morgan, Shoaib Malik, Darren Sammy, Angelo Mathews, Lasith Malinga, Shane Watson, Cameron White, Mohammad Shahzad, Andre Russell, Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo.

The T10 League which was earlier played in Sharjah will now light up the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium at Abu Dhabi.
