Ajinkya Rahane is all set to start a new inning in his life as he and his wife Radhika Dhopavkar are expecting their first child. The couple had a grand Maharashtrian wedding in Mumbai on 26th November 2014.
Radhika is Rahane’s childhood sweetheart as their families shared the same neighbourhood when they were young. And the love story which started right in their childhood is now on the verge of another beautiful chapter as the couple is set to enter parenthood.
Reports in Pune Mirror state that the couple has been consulting a well-known doctor in Mulund and are ready to break the news anytime soon.
Radhika even took to social networking website Instagram to share a strong post on pregnancy.
“Have more of milk and milk products. Don’t have that much coffee. And are you taking the supplements you need? Being pregnant means being ready for extra care and extra attention from just about everyone. And the flood of information can only make things confusing. I have found it helpful to stick to the basics and keep track of my daily nutrient intake. Among all nutrients, I got to know how adequate iodine is essential for an expecting mother as well as the baby since first 1000 days of life are considered to be the critical period for Brain development for which Iodine is an essential nutrient. Ajinkya Rahane hopeful of making an ODI comeback
Despite being a regular campaigner in the Tests, the shorter format of the game has eluded the 31-year-old batsman. As he gears up for the three-match Test series against South Africa, Rahane admits that he hopes to make a comeback to the ODI side as well.
“Apart from Tests, I really enjoy playing ODI cricket as well. I want to come back to ODIs, but right now, the focus is completely on this series (against South Africa),” Rahane said during a meet and greet session organized by Indian Oil on Thursday (September 26).
