Cricket fraternity bids adieu to India veteran Mithali Raj as she retires from T20Is

Mithali Raj, the veteran Indian cricketer, announced her retirement from T20Is on Tuesday to focus on the next 50-over World Cup in 2021.

In 89 T20Is, Mithali has scored 2,364 runs at an average of 37.52 including 17 half-centuries and a highest score of 97 not out. While Mithali will end her career as the highest run-scorer for India, she is the sixth-highest overall.

The 36-year-old batter also led India in 32 T20Is including World Cups in 2012 (Sri Lanka), 2014 (Bangladesh) and 2016 (India).
