England pacer Jofra Archer has had a dream run ever since he was included in the England national team. The Barbadian-born quickie was England’s highest wicket-taker in the 2019 World Cup.
He was then given the golden opportunity of playing in the longest format, where he hasn’t disappointed either. The youngster is currently in action in the high-octane Ashes tournament and has already become a threat to the Aussie batters.
The fast bowler has garnered plenty of praise post his six-wicket haul in the third Test at the Headingley in Leeds.
Archer is now all set for a massive pay hike next month, and that will make him one of the richest cricketers in the country. According to reports in The Times, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) will hand the 24-year-old seamer a central contract worth one million pounds. The Rajasthan Royals are already paying Archer a whopping amount of 800,000 pounds in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
As per reports, the pace sensation will receive the Test and limited-overs contracts from the ECB in early October.
Like Archer, England star all-rounder Ben Stokes too is all set to make a grand entry into the one million club. In fact, after the hike in pay, the two will be earning more than one million pounds.
