JP Duminy slammed a 15-ball half-century – the fastest in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) – as Barbados Tridents defeated defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders by 63 runs on Thursday (September 26).
Duminy was all over the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown. His 20-ball 65, comprising six fours and seven sixes, made for an exceptional strike-rate of 325 and helped Tridents post 192/5, with Johnson Charles (58 off 39) and Jonathan Carter (51 off 46) both scoring half-centuries as well.
Knight Riders were then bundled out for 129 in 17.4 overs, thanks to Hayden Walsh, who returned with incredible bowling figures of 5/19, including the big wickets of Denesh Ramdin, Kieron Pollard, and Jimmy Neesham.
