Sonal Chauhan opens up on her link-up rumours with KL Rahul

Young India cricketer KL Rahul’s name has been linked with several Bollywood actresses but the 27-year-old batsman has always remained tight-lipped about his relationship status.

Speculations about Rahul dating Sonal Chauhan began circulating in news media recently and reacting to gossip column headlines the Bollywood actress quashed any romantic association with Team India opener.

Earlier, Rahul has also been romantically linked to actress Nidhhi Agerwal, who debuted in Munna Michael opposite Tiger Shroff and prior to that with Alia Bhatt’s bestie Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, who featured in Tere Do Naina music video opposite Aparshakti Khurana.

Reacting to a question on Rahul, Sonal told Bollywood Bubble, “No, not at all. He is a very good cricketer. He is very talented and a nice guy,” while hinting that their involvement with each other is not driven by facts.

It may be recalled that Rahul along with Hardik Pandya had landed in a controversy after appearing in an episode of Koffee With Karan season 6 last year. The cricketers’ offensive comments led to a major backlash with the two even handed a provisional ban by the Committee of Administrators (CoA) and were also fined.

While the two faced a lot of criticism, popular actress Preity Zinta, who also co-owns Kings XI Punjab team in the IPL, had said that Rahul is “very respectful towards women”.

“It is so good to see Rahul back in form. He is a very nice guy. What happened is in the past. I just feel bad about the way the whole thing turned out but you live and learn. Actually, he is very sweet and respectful towards women, so I don’t know how it all came out. As I said, these are teachable moments,” Zinta told PTI.
