CPL 2019: Kapil Sharma reacts hilariously to Ashley Nurse’s ‘Babaji ka Thullu’ celebration

Bowlers uniquely celebrating wickets is not uncommon to the cricketing community, and thanks to Ashley Nurse, everybody witnessed a new celebration, famously named as ‘Babaji Ka Thullu.’

The gesture became the talk of the town when Indian stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma used it in his show ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil,’ but when Nurse brought the celebration out during the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2019, it raised many eyebrows.

Nurse was a vital part of the Barbados Tridents’ victorious campaign as he scored 188 runs in 13 matches and picked up four wickets at an economy of 6.90. He picked 2/17 in the finals as well, with wickets being Brandon King and Nicolas Pooran, who in their rights are a pretty dangerous batsman, and King had scored the highest score in CPL history in this edition as well.

Meanwhile, in a recent video uploaded on Twitter, a user tagged Kapil Sharma in the post, and the actor-host reacted, “Hahahaha.”

Here’s the tweet:

Back in 2018, Nurse himself had explained why he took up this celebration.

“Just dedicating the celebration to my Indian friend – Sunny Sohal, whom I met at the CPL. He told me when you get a wicket, do a ‘Babaji ka thullu’ or something,” he was quoted as saying by India Today.
