‘Dhoni… Dhoni’ reverberates as ICC asks fans who is the best keeper in international cricket

India veteran MS Dhoni is no less than a ‘superhero’ in the cricketing world. And his fans recently reacted to an ICC tweet on naming the best wicketkeeper in the world.

Team India is currently competing with South Africa in a three-match Test series with Wriddhiman Saha being their main keeper. In the ongoing series, the Bengal-born cricketer looked exceptional behind the wickets and took sensational catches. He was praised by the fans and cricketing fraternity for his skills.

During the Pune Test, Saha pulled off Faf du Plessis’ catch after a full-fledged dive off Ravichandran Ashwin’s delivery. The ball took a solid edge of du Plessis willow and went up in the air, and Indian gloveman intercepted it well. After a couple of juggles, he remained successful in taking it and sent the Proteas skipper back to the pavilion.

ICC looked happy with the Saha’s fieldwork and posted a picture of him taking Du Plessis’ catch, with a caption, “Who is the best keeper in international cricket at the moment?”.

The apex cricketing body would be in a thought that fans might pick any current wicketkeeper but that was not the case. And then Dhoni fans came into action in order to show the ICC who the best keeper is. The 38-year-old Dhoni managed to grab more than 600 catches for India in international cricket.
