India all-rounder Hardik Pandya underwent successful surgery in London to treat his lower back issue, which has ruled him out of action for an indefinite period.
The 25-year-old on Saturday (October 5) shared an update about his surgery on Instagram. He posted a picture with the caption: “Surgery done successfully. Extremely grateful to everyone for your wishes. Will be back in no time! Till then miss me.”
As soon as he shared the picture, cricket fans and experts flooded his post with “get well soon” comments. The Baroda lad also received wishes of speedy recovery from his teammates and opposition players.
Amid the best wishes, it was India star batsman KL Rahul’s comment that grabbed everyone’s attention.
Rahul, who shares a great bond with Hardik, took a hilarious dig at his teammate.
“Speedy recovery bro, Hope they fixed your brain too, see you soon,” he wrote.
Hardik took the comment sportingly as he replied: “haha sure they did help.”
Pandya first picked up the back injury while playing against Pakistan in Asia Cup last year. He recovered to play in the IPL and the World Cup this year before the injury resurfaced after the recent home T20Is against South Africa.
