IND vs SA 1st Test: WATCH – Keshav Maharaj floors Rohit Sharma, the Indian opener responds with a smile

On Saturday, India’s new Test opener Rohit Sharma gave yet another tantalizing glimpse of his potential. The hosts ended Day 4 of the first Test on the ascendancy, having set South Africa a daunting target of 395.

Rohit (127 runs off 149 balls) has now become the first Indian opener since Sunil Gavaskar to score two centuries in a single Test.

The dashing right-hander played an array of shots during his entertaining knock, and most of those elegant strokes had the crowd purring their approval.

However, in the 27th over of India’s second innings, Rohit was floored by Maharaj. The left-hander foxed the batsman with his sharp turn and bounce.

As South African wicket-keeper Quinton de Kock too failed to collect the ball, Rohit got a life and he exchanged a smile with the bowler.
