On the third day of the first Test against South Africa in Visakhapatnam, India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja bowled a hilarious delivery which was eventually called as a no-ball.
It all happened in the 39th over of South Africa’s first innings. Bowling to the opposition skipper Faf du Plessis, Jadeja bowled a five-bounce delivery as the ball didn’t come out of his hand in the desired manner.
Du Plessis, who got an easy chance to hit the ball anywhere he wanted, restrained from doing so and let the ball travel to the Indian wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha. This moment of madness invoked smiles from every single Indian player on the ground and even left du Plessis in stitches.
But the highlight of the incident was that it was identical to a delivery Jadeja bowled to England’s Jonny Bairstow in 2016, which was soon pointed by the official broadcasters of the game.
