Zaheer Khan comes up with a witty response to Hardik Pandya’s birthday wish

Zaheer Khan celebrated his 41st birthday on Monday (October 7) with wishes pouring in for him from his former teammates and current India cricketers.

Among the well-wishers was Hardik Pandya, who in his birthday post tweeted a video of him hitting a six off the bowling of Zaheer Khan.

The Indian all-rounder, who recently underwent lower back surgery, captioned the video: “Happy birthday Zak … Hope you smash it out of the park like I did here.”

Zaheer too thanked Hardik for his wishes, added some wit and humor in his reply, and wrote: “Hahahaha….thank you for the wishes @hardikpandya7 my batting skills can never be as good as yours but the birthday was as good as the next delivery you faced from me in this match ??.”

The former Indian pacer also thanked all his fans and followers for wishing him on the occasion of his special day as he posted a short video in which he can be seen blowing out candles on the birthday cake.

Meanwhile, Hardik is currently on a break from competitive cricket and is recovering from his prolonged injury that he suffered during the game against Pakistan in Asia Cup last year.

The Baroda cricketer recovered to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 and the World Cup before the injury resurfaced.

Pandya, who is an integral part of the Indian team for the next year’s T20 World Cup in Australia, is expected to be out of action for the next few months as well.
