Virat Kohli, who is currently on a break from international cricket, celebrated his 31st birthday on Tuesday.
As expected, the Indian talisman was flooded with birthday wishes as soon as the clock showed midnight on Monday. Starting from the cricketing fraternity, celebrities to fans, almost everyone related to the sport made sure to wish ‘King Kohli’ on his special day. So how can one expect his good friend AB de Villiers to not come up with something special?
Kohli and De Villiers’ strong friendship is known to everyone. The two have been best of friends ever since former South Africa international was roped in by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in 2011. Since then, their friendship bond has only grown stronger.
In a short clip shared by the Royal Challengers, De Villiers and other members of the franchise wished Kohli. De Villiers not only left a special birthday message for the RCB skipper but also said he is hopeful of seeing Kohli lifting the trophy next season. The others who wished Kohli were Yuzvendra Chahal, Umesh Yadav, Mike Hesson, Simon Katich, and Shankar Basu.
Here is the tweet from RCB:
Birthday wishes from friends are the real icing on the cake.
Happy Birthday @imVkohli

Well, Kohli, too, would be desperate to lift his maiden IPL trophy. RCB is arguably the biggest underachievers in the history of the cash-rich T20 league. They have made it to the finals of the eight-team tournament three times but ended up losing on all the occasions.
