India bowlers destroyed the Bangladesh batting unit on Day 1 of the first Test at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore on Thursday.
The pace trio of Mohammad Shami (3/27), Ishant Sharma (2/20) and Umesh Yadav (2/47) shared seven wickets between them while off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin claimed two scalps as India bundled out the visitors for a paltry 150.
Had the Indian fielders complemented the bowlers by taking some simple catches, Bangladesh would have been dismissed for less than 100 runs.
Despite the dropped chances, India skipper Virat Kohli’s energy didn’t go down a bit as he kept encouraging his teammates. He also involved the crowd in getting Shami all fired up, and the speedster ended up picking the big wicket of Mushfiqur Rahim.
In what would be the final over before the Tea break, Shami steamed in and landed the ball on a length that hurried Mushfiqur in his defence. When Shami was walking back to his mark, Kohli sensed something and turned to the crowd, signaling them to cheer for the bowler and him.

What followed was an absolute ripper from Shami, which came back in sharply to hit the timber.
