On Friday, Ishant Sharma became the first Indian bowler to pick a five-wicket haul with the pink-ball on the back of an extraordinary bowling display, during the historic Day-Night Test against Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Ishant made the batsmen jump and dodge at his astonishing deliveries with Imrul Kayes, Nayeem Hassan, Ebadat Hossain, Mehidy Hasan, and Mahmuddulah Riyad being the five victims of his mastery over the ball.
The pacer finished with figures of 5/22, which played a clinical role in the visitors being bowled out for a paltry 106.
The pick of the delivery, from Ishant, was bowled to lower-order batsman Ebadat Hossain which sent the off-stump for a walk in the park. It was a length delivery from Ishant, which the Bangladeshi batter failed to pick, and he had to move back to the pavilion after scoring just one run.
