IPL 2020: CSK gives a savage reply to claims regarding the release of MS Dhoni

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has been one of the most successful teams with arguably the highest number of fans in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). They are the second most successful franchises in the tournament with three titles after Mumbai Indians (4).

The Super Kings are led by the ‘Captain Cool’ Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has been their skipper from the inception of the tournament in 2008.

Recently, one of the Twitter users had spread a rumor that CSK will be releasing Dhoni ahead of the IPL 2020 auction to which he got a befitting reply from the franchise.

CSK’s savage response

MSD has been out of competitive cricket for a while now. He was last seen in action during India’s World Cup 2019 semi-final defeat to New Zealand in July post, which there have been a lot of speculations about his retirement. If that was not enough, then there was a Twitterati who recently claimed that CSK would not be retaining Dhoni and the Ranchi lad will be released.

It happened on the same day after the last season’s finalists teased their fans by saying ‘Relea5ing Tomorrow’ ahead of the deadline of submitting the list of players that have been retained and released.

However, the Super Kings revealed that they would not be releasing Mahi and at the same time, also said “Goodbye” to all such rumors.

Under Dhoni’s captaincy, CSK have won IPL thrice in 2010, 2011, and 2018 respectively, and have finished as the runners-up on five occasions.
