Virat Kohli shares a cryptic picture with ‘partner in crime’ MS Dhoni

Ahead of the day-night Test match against Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens, India skipper Virat Kohli posted a cryptic picture on his social media platforms featuring MS Dhoni (back towards the camera).

Kohli’s caption garnered eyeballs as it read, “Partners in crime. Crime: stealing doubles from fielders at the boundary. Guess who?”

Both Kohli and Dhoni have won several games for India not only with their decision-making, strokeplay, and tactical nuances but also by running hard between the wickets. The two were a treat to watch while running between the wickets during the virtual quarter-final versus Australia (at PCA stadium, Mohali) and the semi-final of the 2016 T20 World Cup against eventual-champions West Indies at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Well, the last time when Kohli shared a throwback picture with Dhoni, the latter’s retirement rumors spread like a fire.

The 38-year-old Dhoni is currently enjoying some time away from the game, and he last played competitive cricket during the World Cup in July.

He had to endure criticism for his slow batting approach during India’s matches in the tournament. Especially in the games against England and New Zealand (semi-final), he had to bear the brunt of netizens who deemed him as the reason for India’s defeat.
