On Day 2 of the Adelaide Test that belonged entirely to David Warner, Australia captain Tim Paine managed to attract the limelight for a while by taking a blinder behind the stumps. He took a stunning diving catch to dismiss Iftikhar Ahmed.
The instance happened in the 31st over of Pakistan’s first innings that was bowled by Michell Starc. The Australian speedster was spotted exchanging some words with Iftikhar in the previous over to distract his focus.
On the second delivery of the 31st over, Iftikhar attempted to play a fine cut on a short-pitched delivery of Starc. However, the ball went past the willow while taking a thick edge. Paine, who was the wicket-keeper, plucked a one-handed stunner while diving to his right.

Earlier in the day, Warner became the second Australian to smash a triple century after Matthew Hayden. Further, Steve Smith also became the fastest to the elusive 7000-run club in the longer format.
