Pat Cummins bagged a lucrative deal from Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction.
The franchise bought him for Rs 15.5 crore, making him the costliest overseas buy in the history of IPL.
Till now, the Aussie pacer has not thought of things he would like to do with the money. However, he revealed that his girlfriend Becky Boston has some plans.
“I don’t know [what to do with the money]. My girlfriend… the first thing she said was ‘we can buy the dog a couple more toys now.’ She has got her priorities sorted,” Cummins said while addressing the media in Melbourne.
“I will try my best not to change. Lucky, I have got good people around me,” he added.
For Cummins, the deal is not that much of importance than the fact that he loves playing cricket.
“The boys in the team are great but also my family and friends. I still play cricket because I love it. I am really fortunate and grateful for everything that has happened,” Cummins added further.
The 26-year-old seamer has played 16 IPL matches. He has picked up 17 wickets in the cash-rich tournament at an average of 29.35.
