WATCH: Neil Wagner takes an amazing catch to dismiss David Warner on Day 1 of the Perth Test

An incredible diving catch from New Zealand fast bowler Neil Wagner resulted in the early exit off Australia’s swashbuckling opener David Warner who was looking set at 43 on Day 1 of the ongoing first Test in Perth.

Wagner, bowling his sixth over in the innings, bowled a full-length delivery, which Warner lobbed straight towards the bowler. The ball was dipping on Wagner, but the left-hander slid in his follow through and completed a one-handed stunner.

In the match, after opting to bat first, the hosts were 248/4 at the end of the day’s play. Thanks to Marnus Labuschagne, who smashed his third consecutive Test century. He was unbeaten on 110 along with Travis Head (20 not out) at the other end.

Both teams observed a minute’s silence before the start of the match and were seen wearing black armbands in memory of the people who lost their lives in the Whakaari volcano tragedy.
