On Friday, Indian cricket fans witnessed the old-school Virat Kohli, who is the master in a run-chase. Courtesy of his unbeaten 94 off 50 balls, India made a record by chasing down the mountain look-a-like total of 207 runs.
Ravindra Jadeja was celebrating his 31st birthday, and he got the perfect gift in the form of a glorious victory. However, the cherry on the cake was his wicket when he dismissed the Caribbean batsman Brandon King.
King was playing the attacking cricket and sending off the short deliveries out of the park. Windies were 101/2 after ten overs, and they were not looking to settle down, but then Indian skipper gave the 11th over to birthday boy Jadeja, and he did precisely what Kohli was looking for.
On the very first delivery, Jadeja came up with his street smart skills. He anticipated that King will have a go at him and when the Windies batsman advanced to the pitch, the left-hander dragged the length back, which beat King’s bat, and Rishabh Pant did the rest behind the stumps.
