Virat Kohli might have failed to score with the bat on Sunday, but he was an absolute live wire in the outfield as he grabbed an absolute blinder during the second T20I between India and the West Indies in Thiruvananthapuram.
In the 14th over of the Windies’ chase bowled by India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, Kohli ran across to his right from long-on, stretched every muscle in his athletic body to get both of his hands under the ball to complete a stunning catch.
Although Kohli displayed superman-like athleticism in the field to dismiss Shimron Hetmyer, India lost the match by eight wickets.
Windies opener Lendl Simmons smashed an unbeaten 67 off 45 balls as the tourists chased down the 171-run target with nine balls to spare.
The three-match series is now leveled at 1-1 with the decider to be played at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday (December 11).
