BCCI announces annual player retainership of Team India (Senior Men); MS Dhoni’s name removed from Grade A

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced the Annual Player Contracts – Team India (Senior Men) – from October 2019 to September 2020.

Distribution of Annual Player Contracts Team India:

Grade A+ (INR 7 Cr): Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma Jasprit Bumrah


Grade A (INR 5 Cr): Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav, Rishabh Pant

Grade B (INR 3 Cr): Wriddhiman Saha, Umesh Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Hardik Pandya, Mayank Agarwal


Grade C (INR 1 Cr): Kedar Jadhav, Navdeep Saini, Deepak Chahar, Manish Pandey, Hanuma Vihari, Shardul Thakur, Shreyas Iyer, Washington Sundar

The name of former Indian captain MS Dhoni has been removed from the Grade A list. The 38-year-old veteran stumper has been on a sabbatical since India’s shocking loss to New Zealand in the semi-final of the 2019 ODI World Cup held in England.
