Chris Lynn propels Brisbane Heat to their highest total in Big Bash League history

The hard-hitting batsman Chris Lynn showcased a brilliant knock in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL). Captaining his side Brisbane Heat, Lynn produced some magical moments during his unbeaten 55 balls 88-run innings against Hobart Hurricanes on Friday.

A fantastic platform laid by Max Bryant (65) and a useful cameo by Matt Renshaw (30) in the middle-overs along with the handy performance by Ben Cutting (18) helped the Heat to reach their highest score ever in BBL.

Lynn, like always, was all over the ground. He exhibited some brilliant shots which lifted the crowd of Bellerive Oval, Hobart.

Before the start of the match, Lynn pledged support for victims of bushfires ragging around Australia and decided to donate 250 Australian dollars.

“Hey Guys, for every six I hit in this year’s Big Bash League, I will donate $250 towards the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal,” tweeted Lynn.

In the match, Heat scored 212-3 in their allotted 20 overs. Chasing the gigantic score was always tricky, and Hurricanes felt the pressure as well. No batsmen were able to score big, and Hurricanes could only post 181-9 and lost the game by 31 runs.

For Heat, it was indeed a comprehensive victory, especially after a humiliating loss against Perth Scorchers. Lynn got the ‘Player of the Match’ award for his incredible innings.

Hobart Hurricanes will face Perth Scorchers in their next game on Sunday (January 05), while Brisbane Heat would be looking to carry on the momentum in their next meeting with Sydney Thunder on Monday (January 06).
