Wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant on Tuesday suffered a concussion, forcing opener KL Rahul to take his position behind the stumps during the first ODI against Australia on Tuesday.
Pant scored 28 off 33 balls during India’s 255 all out after being sent in to bat by Australia.

On the first delivery of the 25th over, Rahul faltered behind the wickets as he failed to collect an inside edge off Australia opening batsman David Warner’s bat. And as the ball was going towards the boundary, the fans started chanting, “Dhoni… Dhoni…”.

Meanwhile, Australia thrashed India by ten wickets to go 1-0 up in the three-match series. Chasing 256 to win, Australia reached the target in just 37.4 overs thanks to unbeaten tons from their openers David Warner (128 off 112) and Aaron Finch (110 off 114).
