The first T20I between India and Sri Lanka in Guwahati was abandoned due to the rain and thereby a damp pitch.

The second contest of the three-match T20I series will be played at the Holkar stadium in Indore. Both the teams would be looking forward to taking a lead by winning this game.

Fans must be waiting desperately to see Jasprit Bumrah firing up as he returns to the Indian squad after a four-month absence due to a stress fracture. Team India’s focus will be on opener Shikhar Dhawan who is also returning from an injury.

This will be an excellent opportunity for Dhawan as Rohit Sharma has been rested for the series.

Left-armer Kuldeep Yadav was picked ahead of Yuzvendra Chahal in the opening game of the series and most likely is going to be selected for the Indore T20I.

Indian captain Virat Kohli needs just one run to leapfrog his teammate Rohit Sharma to become the leading run-scorer in the T20Is. Currently, both players have scored 2633 runs in the shortest format.

Pacer Bumrah also has a chance to go above Chahal and off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin to become India’s leading wicket-taker in T20 internationals.

Ashwin and Chahal have taken 52 T20I wickets so far while Bumrah has 51 to his name.

Angelo Mathews has returned to the Sri Lankan side, but the veteran all-rounder was not picked in the first T20I in Guwahati, and there are chances that he might not get a place in the playing XI for the Indore match as well.

Lasith Malinga will be looking to add more scalps as the right-armer is the leading wicket-taker in T20Is (106).

Lankan team would also not like to make any changes as no player was tested in the opening game.
