Jasprit Bumrah, Poonam Yadav claim top BCCI awards; here’s the complete list

Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah received the highest prize of Indian cricket – the Polly Umrigar Award for the best international cricketer (2018-19) at the BCCI Annual Awards on Sunday (January 12) in Mumbai.

While Bumrah received the biggest prize in the men’s category, leg-spinner Poonam Yadav claimed the top prize in women’s category and was awarded the best international cricketer (women).

This is the first time either have picked a BCCI Award since they began in 2006-07.

Away from international cricketers, performers in domestic cricket were recognized as well. Mumbai’s Shivam Dube was adjudged as the best all-rounder in the Ranji Trophy season to seal the Lala Amarnath Award.

  • Dilip Sardesai Award (Highest wicket taker in Tests): Jasprit Bumrah
  • Highest run-getter in women’s internationals: Smriti Mandhana
  • Highest wicket taker in women’s internationals: Jhulan Goswami
  • Polly Umrigar Award for Best International Cricketer (Men): Jasprit Bumrah
  • Best International Cricketer (Women): Poonam Yadav
  • Best International debut (Men): Mayank Agarwal
  • Best International debut (Women): Shafali Verma
  • Lala Amarnath Award for Best all-rounder in Ranji Trophy: Shivam Dube
  • Lala Amarnath Award for Best all-rounder in Domestic Limited Overs competition: Nitish Rana
  • Madhavrao Scindia Award for highest run getter in Ranji Trophy: Milind Kumar

  • MA Chidambaram Trophy for Highest Run Getter in CK Nayudu Trophy: Manan Hingrajia

  • MA Chidambaram Trophy for Highest Run Getter in Cooch Behar Trophy: Vathsal Govind 
  • MA Chidambaram Trophy for Highest Wicket Taker in Cooch Behar Trophy: Apurva Anand
  • Jagmohan Dalmiya Trophy for Highest Run Getter in Vijay Merchant Trophy: Aryan Hooda
